For the record, restaurants really do keep their hot drinks at unsafe temperatures. I dated a girl who worked at Starbucks and had a big scar on one of her thighs from the hot water tap. Many of them literally keep the hot water right below boiling.

But yes, we are lawsuit crazy.

Just found out today that my insurance company is getting sued for "medical" damages because I rear ended a lady going about 5 mph.

I hope they don't go over your liability limit... my wife hit a couple of fat ladies back in 1996 and they both were so fat that they broke the car seats and had neck injuries... they sued and were awarded a judgement just under our coverage limits so we didn't have to pay out any more...

I think my coverage is 100k.

I have a civic and it was driveable after the accident. That alone should tell you how severe the impact was. You hit anything in a civic going more than 10 mph (if that) and you're not driving that thing anywhere.

My wife was driving a Civic when she did that... she was going about 30MPH when she hit them and it was totalled.

yeah mine only needed a new bumper and hood. It didn't even break out the headlights. They put a new radiator in it, but I don't think it was necessary honestly. The radiator looked untouched.

The kid played russian roulette and lost and got someone hurt doing it.. the lady probably needs money for medical bills.

I was hit in the ass by a guy going 55 I have over 10k in medical bills and his insurance wont pay saying my back injury was a preexisting condition. This has been going on for almost a year and still no word from my lawyer I'm calling him tomorrow.
