I think we all just need to sit back and wait until after the combine to really narrow our search down to a few players. The big board always shakes up a bit after the combine. That being said, I have faith in Hurney's first round picking ability and will support any player we select. Just as I do every draft.

Kirkpatrick while not Claiborne is still really good. I think people have gotten to the point where hes a little underrated...they look at his measurables and see him as a guy who could bust but IMO theres a very good chance hes one of the best (probably not elite but still very good) CBs in the league for 10-12 years. Hes not too much like Gamble as a player but I could see their careers kind of going in the same direction minus the failed attempts to put Gamble at special teams.

It works both ways though, pressure is useless if you can't cover on the back end.

This draft reminds me of the year we got Beason. Everybody wanted Patrick Willis, but knew he wouldn't fall to us, so we were naming off all these other LB's, and for some reason Beason was over looked.

While this may be true...

Our CBs not named Gamble suck regardless. Munnerlyn can't stay with a receiver for even the shortest of periods.

I want a solid guy who won't give up big plays and can tackle and play strong against the run. I see that in Kirkpatrick.
