Former St. Louis Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo has agreed to become defensive coordinator of the New Orleans Saints, sources told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen.

Didn't see this posted yet.

As much as I'd hate to say, this will make them significantly better on that side of the ball. Should be a tough match for us next year. But at least that dirty man tits douche can't cheap shot our guys anymore.

Thoughts?

Spags is a good coordinator yet it doesn't mean they will be any better. After all look at us. Rivera had the best defense in 2010. Didn't really help us in 2011 when he came here.

St Louis was ranked 22nd in total yards in 2011, New Orleans was ranked 24th.

St Louis was ranked 19th in 2010.

Might be better as a coordinator than HC. Time will tell.......

Don't worry it's almost guaranteed we'll win at home since the Saints are pretty much allergic to real grass. We'll have a revamped defense and beat your ass in the dome. :nopity:

Gee, the 49ers are supposed to have the best defense, had an extra week of rest, had an extra week of film study and planning, played at home, yet what happened to their home average of allowing 11 points per game? Oh yeah, the offense basically tripled it even with an amazing 5 turnovers. 1 or 2 less turnovers would have resulted in normal 40 burger. The issue wasn't grass, it was defensive calls at end of game.

Bottom line, an amazing performance by vaunted niners defense didn't hold Saints under 30, so your revamped defense is a fairy tale you're telling yourself to help you try to be positive this offseason.

Bottom line is that you still lost, and to a 9ers team that has the most vanilla offense in the nfl. We already a have high powered offense plus with a revamped defense I'm sure we have a good chance of sweeping you guys.

Typical saints logic: "we put up a shitload of points on the best defense and still lost! YAY!"

At least this board lets rival fans sign up and voice their opinions. Those pussies over at Saintsreport won't let us sign up or delete a negative thread as soon as it's posted.

Welcome to a real man's board.

Oh, and fug you.

    • Don't have to be miss cleo. His weakness are length, athleticism, creating his own shot, defense, finishing at the rim,  Strengths - shooting and IQ.   Likely won't work as non athletic shooters don't typically work.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
