what rule would you like to see changed this summer

That would and should never happen. It's what the refs are there for and there are judgment calls.
games shouldn't be decided on judgement calls.

until they can call flawless games, they should be allowed to be checked on calls they make.

Then what's the point of refs? They are part of the game. There will never be a flawless game by the refs. Judgment calls usually mean they can go either way.

Should we have technology within the ball to detect yardage and within the shoulder pads that detects contact?

the absolute worst rule is the rules governing overtime.

they made the playoff rules a little better, but they still suck.

both teams need to have a chance to score. i can't see how it benefits the game to let a team win because of a coin flip.

Make it simple. Full quarter of play and the team with most points wins. If score is still tied; have a second overtime period the team that scores first wins.

PI should be 15 yards...

a 40 yard penaltiy is absurd.

So when a receiver burns a DB and is wide open streaking down the sideline, the DB should dive at his feet and trip him up to get a 15 yard penalty instead of a score? I don't think that's real fair. They should keep PI how it is, just school the refs to not call it unless it's flagrant.

Also, last nights game made me think forward progress needs to be changed. The 49er D barely got on the RB and half a second later they kill the play and call FP. What they should do is let the play continue and then after he is tackled, then you can go re-spot the ball.

that was just a bogus call last night...

agree to disagree on the PI... i think it hurts the game.

Name a rule that helps a defense more than the offense.

meh...you are taking it to an extreme. are you of the opinion that refs shouldn't be challenged and that coaches shouldn't be allowed that red flag?

there is no harm in being able to challenge penalty calls. it can't be any worse than the challenges that are already being allowed. i mean they already started making an automatic review of every TD. it's not like it made refs obsolete.

as long as they have challenges and time outs available i don't see how it makes it any worse for refs than what is there already. it just makes sense.

You guys aren't being realistic. Any rule change to help the defense isn't coming. You just have to accept offenses will be able to slice up the most perfect defenses.

Something that is a problem however are some ref calls that are easily deciding games because of the monumental nature the game is heading towards.
