Something kinda interesting about the PSL tickets this year

I'm not missing the point, I just don't think it means much other than they left off 2 players who have generated a ton of fan ire at this point.

Exactly. Five years down the road this list could be very different. The history hasn't been fully written on either of them yet.

I think the franchise is so young that using a "Panther Greats" theme is probably a bad idea. Would have been better just to use guys on our current roster, but make sure to use the ones that will be here for several years. Stewart, DWill, Beason, Gross, Smitty, Otah, ect.

I'm glad Stevie B is on there. It's impossible to mention what he did for this team without stirring the Jake-Delhomme-is-our-quarterback pot these days, but in the context of our short team history he was a major.

B-Line. The Panthers best quarteback ever. Bar none. That '99 year: 4,400 yards (led NFL), 60% completion, 36 touchdowns. Although the team finished a Drew Brees like 8-8.

    • yeah, now it's going to get awkward.  The team circles pay attention to all this stuff.  All the wives and girlfriends see the posts.  They all talk like everyone.  Football is just a normal world outside of the fact they play a game for lots of money.  Gossip travels. They know the Theilen's want out at this point.  Carolina is now the disappointed failed trade location.    So now AT takes sort of an inhouse hit in Carolina IMO
    • Ummm... The dude looked like he was about 180 pounds soaking wet with us (I don't care what his listed weight was/is) - he would have been destroyed in the run game even more than our current and past crappy ILBs. The problem is we primarily play 3-4 or nickel/dime - there is little room on the field for him because he isnt an edge LB blitzer and he can't cover for crap. The only thing he can do kind of well is be an in-the-box safety that can try and beat blockers to the spot because of his athleticism. Washington was able to make him work last year because they used him solely as an in-the-box safety and almost exclusively ran a single high FS. The funny thing is they had good yards/game stats against the pass despite most of their secondary having embarrassingly low PFF grades. Washington was also terrible against the run, which might explain why they gave up so few yards passing.
    • Just get the deal done. We've teased it so much that the Thielen's expect it. Now we run the risk of our veteran WR locker room presence becoming disgruntled. Just take what we can get, make him happy, and get future assets while freeing up snaps for guys who will be here beyond this season.
