Adam Schefter on Peppers.

How is Peppers gonna get traded to KC if he doesn't want to be there and won't sign a long term contract with them?

I very much doubt Peppers would feel he could "fulfill his potential" on a team that is rebuilding from the ground up...

That is excatly my thoughts. But would def be interested in and happy with their 1st, Tambi Halli(sp?) and a 5th or 6th rounder.

With all the needs KC has, if they give up their 1st for Peppers they are idiots. Only a team that's on the brink of a SB championship could justify giving up a 1st round pick for Peppers.

I don't think Sanchez will go in the top 5.

I also don't think he will make it past 15.

The best scenario would be for Denver to take him at 12 and then get Peppers with the 18th and the 84th pick.

The new coach would make a lot of folks forget Cutler if they get Sanchez and Peppers and then get a big DT like Brace in Round 2. They still get the 79th pick in the third.

Broncos need a NT, not a QB. If they are smart, the will use one of their firsts on that position. Both should be used on D, IMO. If they want to trade the other one for Pep, that's fine by me. Perhaps Nolan views Pep's ability as another JP he coached (Julian Peterson).

You probably have much more draft specific knowledge than I , stirs so you could be right. I thought Mayock had pointed out 3 NT type guys who were possible first rounders, but not sure. Either way, no way I take a QB if I am the Broncos. It's nowhere CLOSE to being a priority IMO. I don't get that whole thought process of some people...complain that Cutler couldn't succeed because of his defense, yet as soon as he's gone, getting a QB is the priority? Not with that weaponry already on offense, it isn't.

The Bronco's could go Tyson JAckson @ 12 then trade for Pepps @ 18 and take Brace in the 2nd. Thats a friggin solid day right there.

Jackson, thank you ...that's the other guy. LSU guy, last of the Saban recruits I believe. Definitely a plus for BB acolytes like McD.

I don't think Sanchez belongs in the 1st round, period. But, evidentely the Seahawks absolutely love him to learn behind Hasselbeck. I agree the Bronco's have huge needs along the D-Line in order to transition to the 34 defense, but do not underestimate McDaniel stubborness. He wants to groom a QB, and he is going to draft his QB. Orton is merely a pawn, he is not the future. McDaniels got a 1st round pick for Cutler, and he intends to draft a QB with that pick, and I can tell you, it won't be Freeman.

Whether or not, the Panthers are in a 3-way trade with these 2 teams or not, I am fairly certain the Chiefs will be trading down from #3, and one of those 2 teams mentioned (Jets or Broncos), will take either Stafford or Sanchez.. and from what I am gathering, Sanchez has passed Stafford on most teams' draft boards.

KC will get their draft picks, and they can do whatever they want with them. The only way they trade for Peppers is if the deal is made prior to the draft.

Besides Raji, who will most likely be gone at 12, who is suitable for the 3-4 nose tackle. Brace in the second would have been my bet.

Nothing against Raji, great player, great prospect, but I really think he is gonna struggle with his weight in the NFL. ALA Kris Jenkins.

He is 2-3 inches shorter than Kris(depends on which stat line you read), and weighs almost as much now.

Just a hunch.

    • Yeah not taking that Burns trade was infinitely stupid. We seem to be finally righting the ship but, imo, our biggest issue since Tepper bought the team has been coaches and management having a poor understanding of where our own roster is at. Starting with that idiot Rhule drinking his own kool-aid and thinking he was going to come and take the NFL by storm with Teddy freaking Bridgewater. Could have just kept Cam on the last year of his contract and gone from there but noooo that fat slob had to feel like he was the big man on campus. First round wizard Marty Hurney who, for whatever his faults, has a freaking HOF track record with first round picks, wants to trade up for Hebert but fat fug Rhule says no. Then we kept Rhule for 3 years which is absolutely unbelievable to me and every single year he treated our roster like it was just one player away trading our draft picks for Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield who have proven since leaving that Matt Rhule was an even bigger idiot of a coach than we thought. We finally seem to understand we are a ways off and trade CMC, but then we don’t take the actual good trade for Brian Burns who was never better than a run of the mill situational pass rusher. Then we botch the self scout of our OL (and team) after Wilks, even though they were bad before Wilks simplified the scheme, thinking they can execute whatever the hell Reich and Brown were trying to do. So we win a couple meaningless games playing dummy ball and Fitterer thinks we’re a player away again. And nobody even considers that having the slowest receiving corps imaginable with Damiere freaking Byrd, who can’t even make it to the season before being injured and cut, as your only hope for speed, coupled with the worst pass blocking OL I’ve ever seen, might lead to titanic levels of disaster. The way Canales and Morgan have been adamant about constantly bringing competition at every position has been refreshing and made a huge difference. I was kind of worried that we had fallen into our old ways leading up to the draft with all the talk of defense only and worried that they might feel the offense was set. Very glad to see they were not complacent on that. My big thing now is I’m still wondering why Evero is still here. I can’t think of a single player who has gotten better under him, and the Broncos defense got better once he left. We’ll see.
    • really good interview that gives some insight into their decision making process in making up the schedules and the issues they run into with so many people broadcasting games now. also some interesting discussion on what they have going on and where they might be heading in the international games. vikings have 2 of them, btw. we might be seeing more of that.
    • wow i absolutely LOVED watching that.   will watch again...and again...and again.
