Best Steak I've Ever Had...

Yeah...Ritz Carlton. It was a surprise. The soon to be Mrs Panthro knew I've been wanting to eat there since it opened. We were going to go during rest week but our reservations were at 10pm and that was too late for some of the other couples.

It was even better when free :)

I was so excited about the steak at Ruth's Chris a couple weeks ago...meh...

Unless someone else is paying...I won't go back

Need to hit up this BLT spot you speak of

I've been to two different Ruth's and wasn't impressed either time.

Best steak I ever had was a surveyor friend of mine that cooks on a large grill... he gets fresh ribeyes straight from the butcher and cooks them immediately. I swear you can still hear the cow breathing.

The wine and the service was fantastic! that much I can say...

but my homemade mashed potatoes and creamed spinach are WAY better than theirs..and yes butter on a steak is good..but the way they did it made it taste like movie popcorn butter..ugh..

so for $115 (before tip)...It just wasn't anything to write home about

Agree... I just expected better food from a joint that it costs $65+ per person to eat at...

Had the bone-in ribeye at BLT a few weeks ago. Really great steak. We got a couple of side dishes that were so so, but the brussel sprouts in honey with bacon were awesome. And those Gruyere popovers are the poo.

If you haven't had a chance yet, try Aria, right across College from BLT. Great food.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
