Best Steak I've Ever Had...

Yeah...Ritz Carlton. It was a surprise. The soon to be Mrs Panthro knew I've been wanting to eat there since it opened. We were going to go during rest week but our reservations were at 10pm and that was too late for some of the other couples.

It was even better when free :)

Youre getting married to her..I assure you its not free.:)

I was so excited about the steak at Ruth's Chris a couple weeks ago...meh...

Unless someone else is paying...I won't go back

Need to hit up this BLT spot you speak of

I've been to two different Ruth's and wasn't impressed either time.

I've been to good Ruths Chris and bad ones. The one downtown was the last one I went to and it was terrible (it was free tho). The waiter was a douche too. A few weeks later I went to Sullivans and it was ten times better.

Best steak ever was a smoked Filet my broinlaw cooked. We got them straight from the butcher .. took 1 hour to get it med rare. Best steak youll get for 20 bucks or less.

but for birthdays and such getting the salt and butter steak from a steakhouse is a great option too but youre going to pay for it

the steaks we get from the fresh market and grill over charcoal are always kick ass

Yep. Ive gotten some pretty awesome meat from there. The the steak the FIL comes from a butcher it's pretty awesome. We used to buy all our meat from the butcher but it gets old driving 1.5 he's round trip just to stock my freezer. And yes, over charcoal is the bestest eva.

Chain style steakhouse stuff will never compare to the independent steakhouses I have been to throughout the country.

As I have gotten older I find myself enjoying a smaller, filet style cut rather than a mighty porterhouse or a ginormous slab of prime rib.

My personal favorite is Chophouse downtown Chicago.

If you ever are in town, you should check it out.

    • Although, I will admit there is a big caveat to this game. Packers coming off an emotionally big game against Rodgers on the road in Primetime and a MNF matchup with the Eagles the following week, it is a prime opportunity for a let down game with them looking ahead. Which if it's the case, I think we still lose, but only something like 24-21.
    • We lose in a non competitive game 38-20. Bryce doesn't look much better than Dalton did and all the people this week saying "see we told you he's great, look how bad this team is without Bryce" blame it on the OL injuries and/or his ankle and already start laying the groundwork for that being why he is still one of the worst starting QB's the rest of the season and why he deserves another year, if not even an outright extension. And no, that's not what I'm rooting for, just what I objectively think will happen, just as I've been saying for a month would happen once we got past the cupcake portion of the schedule.
    • Miami will be their first real test. Even a close loss and I would be content with that at this point. Brandon Miller is probably gonna be out a few weeks with a partial shoulder dislocation. With that being said, the rookies are really impressing me.
