Spoke with someone close to the situation... said his knee felt much farther along than previous knee surgeries. Felt team doctors did a good job for a non athlete but if your an NFL player you should go to the best aka Dr. Andrews. My source(I know, I know <insert NJP joke>) says he looks great. No idea about how fast, 40 times, etc etc...just said TD says feels much better, more strength and most importantly stability.

Unrelated to Panthers: Jaamal Charles and Eric Berry are recovering nicely also. All the guys who Dr Andrews works on did a lot of rehab/therapy in Florida during the season.

even if his ACL doesn't tear again he'd be almost 3 years removed from starting consistently

that is a really really fuging long time for someone to miss games and I don't think anybody's come back quite as good as they were playing a whole 6 quarters or less in a 3 year span

    • One thing I didn’t consider is how thin this draft is at quarterback. That’s going to drive up the market for backups and borderline starters like Willis, Jones, and Jameis Winston. Because of that, we’ll most likely be priced out of the market for this tier of backup.
    • We've already beat the #1 seed twice, why not one more? (Packers and Rams were both #1 seed at the time we played)
    • My determination has come down to this. Based on recent QB history, has Bryce's improvement warranted 50m per season? Lamar is the only original team QB to play on his 5th year. The others took major deals at the end of the 3rd, before or just after the option was signed. Chances are, we're getting asked for the same.  I haven't rooted for Bryce to fail. I've rooted for him to succeed so big that them signing that extension would give me no worries about our future at QB at all. We haven't seen that level of play consistently that this year. We haven't seen it in the past 6 games.  We're about to be at a threshold with Bryce and I worry about what this front office will do. We have a history of bad decision making and Morgan has been part of that group making those decisions. I don't want Carolina in the same boat Arizona and Miami are right now. It has nothing to with being right. It has to do with wanting to win for more than a single season. We've never had back to back winning seasons. Faith in their abilities is not warranted at this point.
