Panthers tried to trade for Asante Samuel last season but Eagles wanted too much. Now, Eagles looking for 3rd or 4th round pick in return due to Samuel salary cap number ($11 millions). Panthers can sign Samuel to a new contract and have a minimal cap impact this year.

No, different scheme. He sucks in Eagles new scheme but excelled under McDermott attacking scheme. He's 31 years old but good corners can play well into their mid 30s. He fits perfectly into Carolina defensive scheme.

I think Eagles will most def swap picks and give us Asante. Like I said, Eagles will cut Asante if they can't trade him. If Asante signs with the Panthers, both parties will benefit. It just makes too much sense.
