I'm pleased with the production Captain has given us, especially due to the fact that he was a late round pick.

I only wish some of the 2nd and 3rd round busts that have gone through this franchise over the last couple of years gave his type of effort and performed near his level.

This is great in High School. Doesn't quite cut it in the pros.

I give him his due - despite his physical limitations (small and quite slow to be honest), he is scrappy. But he needs to be replaced. He is awful. He is constantly penalized and consistently beat.

I doubt Marty can restructure a rookie contract to save the Panthers much money. Captain is already cheap by salary cap standards. That isn't where you look to restructure.
