How is this possible? Last time I checked, players couldn't be signed unless they were outright released, correct?

If I'm right, how is this not tampering?

SN: I don't care if he goes, just don't like these deals done before free agency opens.

Maybe a trade in the works?

I'm sure Connor wants to play in his home town, so this wouldn't surprise me at all.

After watching Connor play for most of the season, I honestly don't think losing him is a big deal at all... after all the hype I wasn't impressed.

You know good and well those contracts don't get written and signed just after midnight :lol:

Not that bothered, honestly. Connor wasn't that great last season. I just think he's one of those "better backup than starter" guys.

      I think he's gone, and rightfully so, if he turns in another losing record. The "talented roster," regardless of how true or not, is a double-edged sword. If the roster is so much improved now from 202X then why are you still producing losing seasons? On one hand, maybe that's what needs to happen. Have the GM hire the new coach, and then have the new coach pick his guy to run his system. That is typically how it works in the NFL. Not the forced inheritance deal we have had in place.

      Hinging on Brooks to be our spark...be good if it happens... but not holding my breath....RB next draft. Morgan gambled...it would be a 2 year payoff if thing happened.

      Only way Canales is fired is if we are attrocious everywhere....  defense /special teams and offense..  There are enough "questions" on if BY9 is the guy that ownership wouldn't fire the coach for "just" mid qb play.  Especially with as talented a roster that has played "well enough" to win some tough football games and hang in there against the top tier of the NFL ...(mostly).   Now total team suckage..yeah .. but I don't see that happening.
