My Mock Draft

Recommended Posts

1st round pick: Quinton Coples, DE UNC- Can get constant pressure on the QB also plays the run well, has the ability to get double-digit sacks consistently in the pros.

2nd round pick: Josh Robinson, CB UCF- Has experience in man coverage, strong tackler, elite speed, decent return man.

4th round pick: Joe Adams, WR Arkansas- Good speed, explosive return man which is definitely needed to make our special teams legit.

5th round pick: Tom Compton, OT/OG South Dakota- We need depth at guard.

6th round pick: Vontaze Burfict, ILB Arizona State- Has potential, projected as a top 10 pick a year ago.

7th round pick: Drew Butler, P Georgia- Strong leg and we have a need at punter.

Tried my best, hope y'all like it.

Really like the Coples pick.

Agree with CB in the 2nd....just take the best available.

Doubt Adams is there in the 4th...but you never know.

Would not want Burfict anywhere near my locker room nor team (no matter what round). that guy is nothing but trouble and a headcase

Who do you like at 6th? Only chose Burfict because of his potential. But I am not a fan of his attitude.

I really have not evaluated talent for that late in the draft.

Burfict just seems to be a nightmare.

Bad team mate....run ins with officials and coaches...bombed the combine....bombed the interviews....bombed his pro-day....runs as slow as an OLineman.

I would just steer clear of him all together.

My thoughts exactly. Pretty good overall. Hope Beason can keep a fire lit under Coples

like coples, adams, burfict, and butler.

if adams is even there at 4th, but could possibly be.

another guy i would look at is broyles. Broyles is also a good returner guy.

Robinson is okay, but maybe there may be someone better there in the 2nd.

dont mind though.

all, its good, i like it

Broykins is also like 5'8!!! In a league full of 6'3 and up WR how is that different then having Capt play? Broyles is Capt 2.0. I like the Robinson pick especially with Gilmore and Holsey moving out of our range.

    • Wanting that type of play and being okay with paying $55 million a season for it are two entirely different things. If Bryce were to become the same player Purdy has been, then he would surpass my expectations of him and I'd be okay with him as our QB of the future (and again, I've long been one of the bigger anti Bryce people here who doesn't think he is capable of being our long term solution). But in no world would I be okay with paying him THAT kind of money, paying an average starter elite money is just a terrible decision.
    • I don't think they can overcome that mistake. Hell Lance was a hiccup compared to this. He isn't going to be able to carry that price tag and now he is going to have to do just that. Lol. The NFL is so dumb sometimes.
    • So, one could say that T-Mac is quicker than someone of his size should be and while he might not be quite as fast as Evans in the 40, he's more athletic than Evans. If only someone, anyone, could have seen that in his tape and mentioned that on here, hmmmmmmm In all seriousness, hearing he tested in the 89th percentile in that drill at his size is crazy impressive.  Just tried to look up the times of the top WRs in the league right now, most don't show at time for that, but I did see Chase ran his in 7 seconds flat. I honestly don't know how true this is, but I do remember seeing one breakdown of his tape and the person said he has quiet and efficient feet.  That he's really good at using the minimal steps possible to make his cuts and because of that, it actually makes him look slower to the human eye because you don't see all the quick chop steps that the guys like Tyreek would use in their running. I'm still in a state of disbelief that he's a Panther and it might not fully hit me until week 1 and I see him out there making plays for us, still feels like Goodell is going to just be like, "YOU GOT PUNKED!!!  hahaha, he's a Cowboy now, suck it"
