Avg height of the NFL CB is around 5'10, 5'11. Being 6' and over isn't a requirement. Helps because of the size of receivers now, but it doesn't mean they are better. Revis is 5'11

Heck of a draft if we get a guy as talented as Jenkins with our 2nd. Still have questions about his off-field stuff and the fact that some GMs have written him off completely..makes me think he could fall to the bottom of the 2nd round.

That is definitley a boom or bust draft for us. Poe is a guy who hasn't been consistent on the field and Jenkins is a guy that hasn't been consistent off the field. Personally, I think that Poe is getting too much credit for his combine. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to the Steelers at the bottom of the 1st...not to the Panthers at the top. I still think our best bet is to get Coples in here and let him develop into the pass-rusher that he is capable of being.

I would be surprised if we drafted Poe that high. Hurney always seems to base his decisions more on game tape than combine numbers.

I never said I didn't like him. I was talking about projections and GM's value on character in the draft. (which sometimes causes them to miss out on great talent)

Poe will take several seasons to develop or won't develop at all. We need an impact player on defense now more than anything. There are no impact DTs in this draft no matter how hard you squint. I'd take Coples and Kuechly over a "project" DT. Hell, I would even reach for the sun and get Janoris over Poe. Also, combine performance is no excuse for reaching. Address this position in the second round please.

Janoris will not fall past the Cowboys, Patriots, or Bengals. Patriots love them some defensive backs. Two defensive lineman and no DB for the Pats in the first round? I don't see it. Cowboys seem to need a CB every offseason since the history of the franchise. Bengals have two picks, one of them is going to be CB. Keep in mind that McShay has Stephen Gilmore going before Janoris. Not happening.

Trading down to wiith the idea of getting both Janoris and a DT (even Worthy) sounds dangerous.

Throw Zach Brown into the mix and you've lost me.
