they make some kind of exception so that your rookie class doesnt initially count against the cap

basically it's for dumbfug teams that completely mismanage their cap to the point where they wouldnt even be able to sign their own draft picks

yah know, like us

    • Just imagine how great it will be when they eventually expand the playoff to 24 teams, or more. There will still only be 3 or 4 teams that have a real chance of winning the national championship, but the money-making opportunity will be too irresistible.
    • Trading Hubbard should be a decision made based on the "future" of the team. If they deem Rico a wiser investment, long term, Hubbard is expendable. If they deem Hubbard the wiser investment, long term, Rico is expendable. That doesn't mean they should have a price that is less than acceptable, however.
    • Technically this was the correct move for survival. College football greed did ultimately ruin all of college athletics in the end. But, it was harder to predict that it would be this bad in the 1990's and 2000's.  The Big Ten is now attempting to put the final nail in college sports with this private equity "investment."
