Stewart + 9Th Pick = Wo Blackmon

A bold move that should be considered would be packaging RB Stewart and our #1 pick to Cleveland for their #1 which can be WO JUSTIN BLACKMON. :)

While everyone has us selecting a DT, the thought of a #1 WO to be groomed by Steve Smith would have Cam Newton LOVING the FO and wanting to stay.

We definitely need DT but this draft is deep enough to pick up a run stopper in the 2nd round (Worthy-MSU or Thompson-Clemson).

Imagine this: Smith, Blackmon, Lafell, Gettis, Pilaris (spelling)

SCARY!!! :D

So, we trade Stewart to move up 5 spots when there is a possibility that one of the top 5 talents in this draft could fall to 9th?

With 3 QBs projected to go before us, I think its best to sit back and see what falls. Especially when there is talk of teams wanted to trade into the top 10 (Eagles, Patriots, etc....)

If we were going to trade Stewart, I would rather us move back into the 2nd round. And BTW, appearantly Worthy will not be available in the 2nd round (I just lost that argument on the draft board)

As much as we need pressure on the frontline, we will never be this close in drafting a prospect like WO Blackmon.

I thought of WO Floyd from ND but I don't want another Dwayne Jarrett situation (DUI) on this team.

Steve Smith needs a #1 WO across from him to ease his way to retirement in the next few years.

It would be IDEAL to have the pressure taken off of SUPER CAM & SMITHY because the WHOLE LEAGUE WILL BE AFTER THEM NEXT SEASON.

As much as I love "DOUBLE TROUBLE," we need to think ahead a develop a supporting cast around our QUARTERBACK. :D

We are fortunate that Tolbert wanted to play for us @ a discount and a full backfield. Tolbert = Stewart in this offense and Coach Chud can totally push the DWilliams & Tolbert button in that manner.

By the way, SUPERCAM likes to run too!!! We need to give him opinion in front of him to hit down the field.

Hence, trade Stewart and get WO Blackmon today!

    • There are several posters that only post negative at all times.   8 wins is a big jump from 5 and we still have 2 games.  Jaguars have a much more talented roster than us and have underachieved for years.
    • All of this noise is just setting us up to lose Week 18 and proclaim life's not fair. If there's one thing I know in my 30+ years of watching the Hornets and Panthers, is that the bad guy always wins in the end. A team can be falling apart internally but we will still lose to them. A team's fanbase can be extra shitty and cocky and they will just win anyway. It always happens
    • Well even if we took diverging paths getting there...our overall assessment of Shough is the same (bolded) lol so I guess that's what matters.  What you call "playing at a level that looks like a veteran starter" is the same thing I'm referencing when I talk about his poise.  Although I still wonder how truly "bad" of a team the Saints are.  Their defense is middle-of-the-road, and their offense does have some good pieces (Olave, Juwan Johnson) outside of running back which is the position most everyone agrees is relatively plug-and-play.  I'm not going to pretend to know anything about the majority of NFL team's o-lines lol but I'm assuming Saints are not great there, although Shough's pressure % seems to have been quite low (and steadily improving) over the last four weeks (20 -> 16.7 -> 15.0 -> 13.0) so maybe they've been playing better as of late, or perhaps Shough himself deserves credit for that.   Some of the language I'm hearing about Shough, including talking about how he's way above league average in several categories, makes it sound like Shough is having a rookie season on par with like a CJ Stroud who established himself as basically a Top 5-10 QB his rookie season.  Maybe that's on me though, I don't mean to attribute anything to you that I'm sure you don't agree with.
