note I didnt say backup....think about it.

We stop kicking extra points and only go for 2..its two yards and I know he can throw it in or run it in each time. If we score 3 times a game, thats 3 points from xp, but if we get 2/3 conversions- thats four points.

I am expecting that we score first and fast next season- this would be optimal as well.

ok, im done...bring the fire baby!

Why not just let SuperCam stay on the field for conversions?

my train of thought was why risk cam for 2 points when we can use his understudy and let him also develop....i see this happening much more than i did with fox and davidson, dont be so quick to rule it out.

The NFL is changing as we speak, its a new-era.

ehhh not sure being 3 yards away from the end zone every play would be a prime way to develop a QB. Not quite the full spectrum.

okay we/re not the pack or pats...when you say every play you make it sound like we are going to score every other time camthegod touches the ball, but i see your point sir.

olindo freakin mare got us 188 points last season, leading the team in individual points scored. cam was second with 40 less.

when you can take points you get them. a PAT is far and away the easiest score you're going to get in the national football league, the closest thing to a guarantee you have, so you take every single one you can get.

    • What's wrong with Damien Lewis? He played pretty well last year.
    • Official NFL Cuts Tracker Deadline for roster cuts is Tuesday, August 26th. At this moment (Friday, August 22nd) the only interesting names I see are... K Caden Davis (BUF) RB Ameer Abdullah (SF) WR Equanimeous St. Brown (SF) WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (NO) LB Khaleke Hudson (TEN) Abdullah, St. Brown, Peoples-Jones I don't exactly think we should cut anybody for but it was just interesting seeing those names. Khaleke Hudson was on the Panthers' practice squad last year I believe and might have even gotten called up? And of course, Caden Davis just because of the question mark at kicker this season for the team.
    • I'll say 6/10. I don't know that we learned a whole lot about this team during preseason that we didn't already know. We didn't play the starters enough to really get a feel for what to expect. We had one good drive against the Browns, one 3-and-out and two 3-and-outs against the Texans. That's an extremely small sample size across 3 games regardless of performance. My camp/preseason takeaways: Jalen Coker might be the best WR on this team and is certainly no worse than #2. Nic Scourton is going to be a good player for us. Possibly very good. Bobby Brown was our best free agent addition. Jack Plummer isn't an NFL QB. Not even a practice squad guy. Having anyone other than Canales and Evero call plays was a really stupid and pointless idea. Our depth is largely non-existent, especially on defense. The three areas we actually DO have depth are on the OL, in the WR corp. and at RB. I can't fathom why Dan Morgan didn't do more to upgrade ILB during the offseason. We better hope Lathan Ransom steps up at FS because if he doesn't we have a massive hole. For all the hype surrounding Sanders/Evans, Tommy Tremble is still the best TE on the roster. I'm only slightly less enthusiastic going into the regular season than I was a month ago. I think our starters on offense are solid and we should be pretty good there unless Bryce totally regresses. On defense, we're probably bottom 3rd in the league if 100% healthy and significantly worse than that if injuries become an issue. We badly need at least two of our rookies to become high-level players early (ideally one of the pass rushers + Ransom) and at least 2 of our free agent additions (ideally Moehrig + Bobby Brown) to be significant upgrades over last year. Call me pessimistically optimistic 😆
