Trading Down, Again And Again

I just don't see who would trade with us. That's the problem. If we had the #8 pick, this would be a different story.

The trades would marterialize on draft day as teams see who is slipping and available. Too early to tell if trading down is a likely scenario or not.

The fact that Tannehill might be going early, like is being projected lately, hurts our chances of trading down. If somehow Richardson slipped, I could see Cincy trading #17, 53, 117 to move up. Thet would still have #9 and #21 and substantially improve their chances in 2012. They could also offer #21, 53, 85, but it would be tougher for us to get a top(second) tier guy at 21.

I would love it if Dallas, NYJ, or Phi would fall in love with OL, but I'm not sure they will with any of these guys. The bright spot is that the old trade value chart is less relevant now with rooklie salary cap.

Another possiblity is a team that really wants to give a crap ton up for Kuechly. Even though we've looked at him and he can be a great asset to have, I think if the Jets or Philly or some LB needy team wants him, they'll trade up. We're in good position for a trade to those teams that fall in love with Coples, Kuechly, Tannehill, or Richardson if they're available at 9.
