Nope, the Panthers have already said the opening game will be away, because the stadium has to get ready for the convention.

The Carolina Panthers will play their first regular season game away as Bank of America stadium will be used during the Democratic National Convention, team owner Jerry Richardson said today.

Of the move, Richardson said, "in this case we were willing to do it."

intriguing first five weeks before the bye. 2 divisional home games to start the year. you do not want to be picking up the pieces after 2 losses there.

there may be quite a bit of national exposure on tv for the panthers this season.
