Panthers Considering Trading Back To The Jets?

Just saw this while surfing the net and fb. Has anyone else seen anything on this? Could be just a rumor.

Should the Carolina Panthers trade down in the draft? Apparently, the Jets are considering an offer for multiple picks... Maybe an additional 2nd rd, or a 3rd pick. CALL IN! (866) 570-9610

Yeah same here.. this is the first time I've seen a source say someone's considering an offer to do it.

I don't know if I would ever consider a fan poll as an information source, but it does seem like the Panthers have looked at a lot of mid-late first round talent. Could be prepping for just such a scenario.

So I read that the Jets wanted to trade up for Ingram. I have also read that Jacksonville wants him as well. SO it seems that if the Jets want him they will have to trade up to the 7th pick. But lets say he falls to the 9th pick. Who thinks we should pass on arguably the best DE in the draft to pick up a third or possibly a second. If we go down to the Jets pick we likely lose out on Ingram, Cox, Coples, etc. Mayock has said that the 8th or 9th pick is the demarcation line between an impact starter and a good player. Remember our track record in the second round....

I would love a trade back giving us an extra 2nd. We either come away with 3 picks in the first 2 rounds, or could even use the extra picks to trade back into the 1st. Come on Jets, it worked out well for both teams the last time.

Conventional wisdom is that GIlmore may likely be gone by the 16th pick and Worthy won't be there at 40, and Randle is projected in the 30- 40 range. Likely none of the players will be there at those spots if we trade down. Hence the issue with trading down....

We have multiple needs, so I am all for trading down.

However I don't trust Hurney all that much when it comes to later picks.

I call smoke screen on kalil not going at number 3. The problem with picking at 9 is there really isn't a diffrence between whats there at 9 and the rest of the first round. Trading back would be the best option.
