Uh Oh...cris Carter Admits To Using Bounties During His Career

Recommended Posts

....if a Saints***** fan says something smart in the woods and no one is around....

Im not quite sure how this affects Chris Carter who deserves to be a HOF'er

He is only explaining how a bounty or bounties can have different degrees...the Saints*** was an institutional control issue with direct instructions to maim guys. Also investigations were targeted to the Saints*** and lies and denial were the results after firm rules and potential punishments were communicated.

Lets not make this a witch hunt when most every team has done this at one point or another. Like a hi lo block if a lber tries to hit a stars knee.

Check out Auburn with Nick Fairley when he lays cheap shots on the Georgia qb..he gets serious hi lo blocks...as he deserved. You tube it as they were posted here by all the Fairley No.1 pick supporters(wow that was scary...not the hits but that he was consideredfor no.1 at one point)

The bounty in question is with Romanowski and Romanowski just emphatically stated that Cris made this up

The word "absolutely" was used.

DP: Did he make this up?

BR: Absolutely.

BR: I think Cris is just making this up to make himself a part of whatever es going on in the NFL today.

DP: In fairness to Cris is there any way you don't remember?

BR: No. No.

He does admit to getting a $500 bounty for a sack, nothing more.

Admits getting other things T-shirts to TV's for "laying people out" on special teams

He asks where the film is on the dirty hits that should be fined. He also says plenty of people say all sorts of things and never do it.

He says the Vilma suspension is absolutely wrong. He is not a part of the lawsuit against the league for long term injuries.

He basically said that bounties are just a way to unify a defense.

Dude sounds like he would kill somebody at the drop of a hat... still. Tough SOB.

If you choose to believe Carter (don't hear any Saints* fans screaming for proof) then the scenario he describes is TOTALLY DIFFERENT from what took place with the Saints*.

Anyone too dumb to understand this must be a Saints* fan.

    • As I've said numerous times the last few days, having Thielen on the field has literally 0% to do with my views on this (I've even said I think Renfrow is going to take a ton of snaps from Thielen anyways).  He has more value to this team without playing a single snap than a 2026 5th round draft pick does for the franchise.   His value is helping set up T-Mac, XL, Coker, and Horn for long term success by helping them learn how to be pros, how to go about their business, how to train, how to do all the little things that helped turn Thielen from a D2 undrafted player into a borderline Vikings legend.
    • He only wants to be traded because it's the Vikings who are calling. If he didn't want to be here, he could have retired, instead he took a pay raise to come back for another season.  I get it, it's an opportunity that he'd like to take, but we shouldn't cut off our nose to spite our face because he now wants to jump at this opportunity less than two weeks before the season starts. I'm not against trading him, I'm just against trading him for a return that doesn't help our team as much as having him on the roster would.  I'll put it this way, if a 5th is the best we can get for him from the Vikings and he's now dug in on not wanting to stay this year, I'm saying screw you and trading him to any of the other 30 teams besides the Vikings for the best offer we can get. He was perfectly happy here a week ago, if the Vikings soured him on that and then want to get him for peanuts, then screw them both.
    • Yes and no, he wants to go back and his wife most definitely wants to go back. He took a bunch of team mates to Minny and has worked out with JJ two offseasons in a row. It's where both him and his wife are from.    The money was basically a please come back and help Bryce. Pretty please...here's some more money.    Now he's agreed to a paycut to go back to the Vikings.
