Five Panthers No One Is Talking About

Recommended Posts

Hell I talk about these guys every day lol

1. David Gettis: Still think he will come back and be a great third option for the Panthers especially with his speed (Brandon Marshall esque).

2. Jimmy Clausen: Sucks, won't make roster.

3. Greg Hardy: Kraken lol

4. Rob Chudzinski: The savior

5. Jon Beason: He's a Beast, nough said.

Gettis showed he was Marshall esque in his rookie season with Clasuen as his quarterback. The only thing Gettis lacks is great route running. His speed is superb and is a fantastic deep threat, he also has great hands and is a very heady player. Seems Marshall esque to me.

Now of course this is a best case scenario but that is just my best case scenario for him. His worst case scenario would be Dwayne Jarrett without the off the field issues.

I must of missed Gettis looking like Marshall...Marshall runs all the routes well. It is why he often pulls in 100+ balls and sleep walks to 1000 yd seasons

It's not David Gettis' fault that he got hurt last year and Marshall may be an average route runner but he does tend to drop a lot of balls and being the only threat on the roster helps. See the situation in Denver and especially the situation in Miami.

Once again, I said it was a best case scenario. No need to nit pick on what to read and what not to read.

I think everyone is underestimating the addition of Brad Nortman.

The kid really knows the position and has experience in difficult scenarios.

We're looking at a guy that will be a household Panther name for years,

Just for punting a football.

Yeah I'm really hoping he can put the ball inside the 10 on a consistent basis. It would really help out the D if he can.

    • I presented that scenario because this is a home game and we seemed to have improved in some capacity in that area as of recently. The problem with the possibility of sweeping the Bucs is this team has had a habit of quickly falling victim to momentum shifts. The Bucs are coming off a bitter loss the same as the Panthers but the Bucs have a much better proven track record this time of year and they have performed when the pressure is on unlike our Panthers. We have a shot against the Seahawks here in BOA but that is a matchup that could quickly get out of hand because they are a well coached team and that goes back to the momentum shifts I mentioned. I just don't see this team beating the Bucs in their stadium to close the season. Tall order to say the least.
    • I’d give it another year for Sanders and Evans, I don’t much care what you do with Tremble’s spot. Let him have another year or maybe replace him. Haven’t looked at his contract so that may be the determining factor.
    • Following the crazy up down pattern we finish 9-8 with an improbable sweep of TB, and lay an egg in the home playoff game.  I don’t know if I can sign on to sweeping TB but I suppose it’s possible, they aren’t really that good this year.    ps I can buy beating TB Sunday and losing to Seattle.  Then it just gets to can you fluke one game. Any given Sunday. So we’ll see.
