Cbs Top 100

So, according to Pete Prisco, we have four players worthy of the top 100. Steve Smith was the highest rated at number 46, right behind Trent Cole and just ahead of Champ Bailey. Jordan Gross clocked in at 68. I find it hard to rate O lineman because... their O lineman. Not flashy, justed rugged, hardworking, behemoths. You only really notice them when they're bad. Atleast thats my opinion. Cam Newton came in at 83, which I can understand because he's a rookie and needs to prove he can be a consistent nightmare. And, finally, chris gamble came in at 93. Nice to see him get some recognition.

Charles Johnson and Ryan Kalil got honorable mentions.

Not bad we have 4 players on the list. He based it off 2011 season, keep in mind, that's why there is no Beason....we were 6-10, new HC, system, etc... I'm happy with 4/100 which you got to think, means we are recognized for talent.

top 100 lists are nice to look at but football is a team sport. Having guys on the list isn't as important as having a bunch of guys who play well together. We have a ton of players who are vitally important to the team who won't be making any lists. Who really cares who is ranked where anyway based on the past. Last year's list is really ancient history at this point.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
