A New Era For The Bobcats? Can It Happen Tonight?

Miami is pretty much a fair weathered sports city too....just sayin

My point exactly, most cities are fair weathered sports cities. If their team isn't trying to make moves to become better, or those moves don't make them better they stop caring after the shiny new toy feeling wears off....

Even if they land Davis the issue will be how do you keep him after his rookie deal. Otherwise you become the Cleveland Cavaliers who landed James and lost him the minute he could bolt to a big market team. The problem with the Bobcats is similar to many small market teams in the NBA. They can't compete with the big market teams for the most part. That is different than the NFL where revenue sharing and hard caps have created more parity across the league.

So no the Bobcats no matter who they get won't have the long term success that Newton will have with the Panthers. For the next few years? Perhaps.....

You think Lebron left Cleveland because of its lack of a market lol?

What most of you are forgetting is that nobody outside NC cares about colleg basketball.

How is drafting some random guy going to draw people to the Bobcats?

You're drafting Jake Long.

I don't follow.

Davis is the only sure thing, but he can't turn around a franchise as bad as Charlotte. It's gonna take Davis,

at least one very good free agent, and either Smack or Kemba to pan out as a starter. And it's gonna take

a ton of money to get a free agent to Charlotte. Davis will never be Cam.

The karma thing is what worries me. While the Bobcats are seemingly cursed, they are due for a very big

break. However, I think the city used up all it's good karma getting Cam. So the Bobcats may just have to keep

eating it.
