A New Era For The Bobcats? Can It Happen Tonight?

If the Bobcats don't get the #1 pick and either the Hornets or Nets do, I'm never watching the NBA again. I felt like something was very crooked when Cleveland got Irving last year due to the Clippers with a .028 chance of getting the #1 winning, but having traded the pick earlier that season to Cleveland. I mean, it just so happened that an influential owner who lost Lebron James in a fiasco gets the #1 pick with .028 chance? Also knowing Michael Jordan we'd win the #1 and he'd trade it to the Lakers for Andrew Bynum.

Nah, Mitch K. will give you Steve Blake, Josh McRoberts a ham sandwich and one of our SF's for it (you take your pick)....

Very much so. You are dead on. But even they didnt give up on their team to the point they moved away like we did.

Let's just tell it like it is, support of pro sports teams in the southeast in general is conditional. In NC and KY, it's college basketball, and for the rest of the southeast it's SEC football.

Yeah they screwed the Clippers last year in the draft and then the NBA botched the CP3 deal to the Lakers and traded him to the Clippers.

NBA is rigged big time and thank God people are starting to see it.

lol Wat?

Oh good, I was actually hoping someone would answer that in this exact way. Thanks for playing ball.

Nobody outside of NC cares about college basketball. I understand some of you are so bound in your ignorance that you cannot comprehend it, so I'll break it down further.

College basketball is a sport that is only cared about until fans of the region find something to replace it. Only in NC, which has never had any notable success in any other sport, do they still car about college basketball so much.

College basketball anywhere else is just another thing colleges do as an extracurricular hobby for their students like Lacrosse or golf or knitting.

Its why no one will care about the Bobcats even if they get this Davis guy. To even think he will boost attention to Charlotte in the same way Cam has is delusional. The Bobcats will actually have to play good to draw attention to themselves, something that probably won't be happening any time soon.

People hold their schools and the schools they root for very close to their heart in the South. No doubt about it.

I hate to quote Bill Simmons, but the reaction that came out when referees were fixing games in the NBA, there wasn't even a surprise to the general public, it was more of a guess of which one(s).

I agree, and up north its the opposite.

Most of the northern folk I'm friends with went to school in the south. I went to ECU and I can assure you that there is a significant chunk of the people there are from NJ, Penn, NY, RI, Conn, etc.

It costs the same amount of $$$ to attend school, so they might as well come down south because the weather and schools are better.

I gotta feeling Donaghy could end up being the Jose Conseco of the NBA. He needs to spill everything he knows.
