Huddle Insecurities: Abandonment issues

Recommended Posts

Eveyone has felt insecure at some thime in their life or they have been close to someone who never felt good enough, paranoid, controlling. It is not a pleasant feeling or a pleasant relationship with someone without hope or confidence and always plans to fail and be heartbroken.

I find that a significant percantage of the Huddlers fall into the INSECURE ZONE.

My confident Advice!

1. Admit you are an insecure Panther Fan who expects your positive hopes and optimism to become sabatoged.

Next, read below...

Quit worrying about Cam not being resigned bc we spent too much money on player X(Jstew..etc)

The front office does plan cap numbers past this season.  The Mayan Apocolypse did not hamper plans past 2012. All the esclators and projected cap increases are charted as well as expiring contracts, possible restructures, possible extentions and cap penalties. All charted..really!

There also will be players possibly not on this roster in three years: Smitty? Godfrey? Gross? heck Gamble is not young either. Three drafts and 15-21 possible new players may be in significant roles and usher out these veterans we have grown to know and love.

All command hefty or semi hefty salaries currently that would be cleared off or they would be in restructured or cap friendly-er contracts to remain.

Im sure a lot of the Huddlers think the front office if full of guys who are plain idiots who overpay-overspend without a purpose and ignore team needs.

They will not-WILL NOT!!   (Please read again and again...until you get that last two words)

now proceed to next line->

Next line->...let Cam Newton leave the franchise. This is not the NBA.  Forget the Alonzo Mourning snuff.in the 90's

Cam is a southerner...he is close to family friends and Charlotte is not a bad city to live in and actually a destination spot to retire and live in.

Which is why people move here from the North!

Unless Cam just simply stops performing, which is highly unlikley, he stays.

Enjoy it! Sleep well.

Is this really about Cam or Charlotte?

In regards to Cam:

"It's all about money, ain't a damn thing funny, ya gotta work hard in this land of milk and honey."

I think that there is a real possibility J-Stew does leave, and there is not like there isn't precedent for a beast of a back leaving (think The Burner, as of late). I also believe that there is a possibility that Stew will stay especially if D-Will restructures his contract. If Cam progresses towards anything close to that apex predator on offense that most of the free world believes that he can be this year, then there is virtually ZERO chance that he will be anything but a Panther for at least the next 15 years (barring injury).

Sure you got those people out there, and while I am not of that type of ilk, I will call a spade a spade if Stewie ends up leaving. But, in the end, we will probably have a draft pick or two, plus D-Will and Mike "The Transformer" Tolbert (and, yes, I just thought of that apropos nickname)

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
