Wasn't the problem with that CB a matter of Smitty thinking that Lucas wasn't giving his wholehearted best.....not that he was doing too well?

i heard it had nothing to do with on the field stuff...more lockerroom...kind of.

don't think so....like Rayzor said....it seemed to be the culmination of a bunch of smack between the two over time

that and it being a 137 degree humid day in August

i'd say i remember it being massively hot and humid that day...but that's pretty much the story every day at TC in the bowl.

i think we were actually in the shade that day...on the other side of the fields. the players pretty much had full sun, though.

very vivid memory.

YA dont think it was lack of effort, 27 was around the ball a lot imo.

Im glad Norman is looking like he's got the potential, but this is very early for people to be thinking he's going to be ahead of Hogan on the dc. That may very well be the case, but its just way too early. Right now, Im happy he is showing something.

Did they do any punt return drills? I don't care about his receiving skills as much as his returning skills translating to the NFL. We drafted him to be a punt returner.

No actual "full blown" returns. Mostly just catch-and-runs with two gunners running down.

He looked very fast and elusive running patterns though (again "shorts only").

This. I look for the staff to bring him along slowly as a WR, but if he flashes game breaking potential, I also expect them to find a way to get him on the field on offense for at least a handful of snaps per game.

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
