Johnathan Stewart the most elusive back in NFL, DWill ranked 9th

PFF rates the most elusive backs in the NFL the past 3 seasons and we have 2 of the top 10 with Johnathan Stewart being #1 and Deangelo Williams at #9. Mike Tolbert also made the list at #15. The NFC South has a strong showing overall with Michael Turner at #3, Pierre Thomas at #7, and Jason Snelling at #8.

Note that elusive in their view means forcing missed tackles and getting extra yards.

Is their really a guy watching every game and every snap a player makes to see how many tackles he misses? if so i want to meet that guy and shake his hand for having the most boring job in the world.

ya I dont know if Id call it elusive but it is most certainly syntactically correct right? I would say he is the hardest to tackle, and if you combine that with no fumbles and good blocking, Im pretty sure you could make a case for best RB in the league.

PFF also ranks him as one of the worst blocking RB's in the league....so there's that

    • Damn Logan Jones had a good day too. Was high on him coming in as he anchored that top Iowa line and is a fire plug inside. He's gonna be 25 to start the season so maybe he slips into the 4th but I doubt it, even if C isn't a premium position. His play on the field was top notch and the combine boosted it again. Arm length is about the only knock. But guy is plug and play at C.   This is a loaded class at C. Need to grab one.
    • Bryce will be permanently replaced by a draft pick. There's not another Sam Darnold out there to save us. Tepper is going to see this throw because he dumped Mayfield and Darnold too soon. He's going to give it 1 more year before he will sign off on dumping another 1st round pick qb. Thats the cold hard truth of it. It doesn't mean we can't get younger and much better at the backup position.
    • Maybe I should have used a different word and saved that for me. I want someone that has something impressive about them.  Someone that has potential to supplant a guy who is producing 25th best type of numbers. 22nd, 27th all that bottom third neighborhood.  I don’t know where that will come from it just can’t be from even a 4th round pick this year IMO. Unless FA is crazy productive.    I’ll give Bryce a better than bottom rating for his playoff game. Well above low twenties. But at least half of his games were bottom third level. Probably 2/3 to 3/4 of them were.
