Depends on Lousiana's laws I guess, but its likely she will get half of the marital assets. If Louisana's laws are similar to NC's, then she won't get aliminony unless abuse or something like abuse can be proved, so his future earnings should be immune from anything other than child support.

Regarding child support, it should be more than a nominal amount. They are his kids. If he is rich, then they should be living a comfortable life. Any decent man would ensure that they do even without the courts intervention.

You actually have no clue what she contributes to the relationship or how important she was to his success. To assume that she wasn't part of his success or that taking care of the family and being responsible for the success of their children with a husband who can't be there that often is not worth a penny sounds like the attitude of a guy who went through a bad divorce. I feel for all of them but especially the children who are the innocents in all this but are always caught in the middle.

And as DD said if he is making millions then the children deserve a good portion of it. In NC with 2 children I think it is something close to 30%.
