Did he just not pan out in Oakland or something?

We really need him or Bell to step up and play at a high level.

The only reason that he wasn't able to succeed in Oakland was because of a lack of directed attention from the coaching staff. Campbell requires special teaching. Something Oakland wasn't willing to provide. They drafted based on measurables, something that Al Davis' Raiders typically did. When he wasn't able to catch on quickly with the same level of coaching as everyone else...well too bad so sad.

This kid has a learning disability that stems from a brain disorder that required surgery at a young age. He has extreme difficulty conceptualizing. If you look at his draft analysis there were experts that claimed that he would never succeed because he was flat out stupid - he got like a 5 wonderlic. He can't read, or at least well, either.

He is a physical monster but he requires a teachers touch, which is hopefully something that this coaching staff is willing to give. He had specialty coaches dedicated just to him at Maryland. The potential is there for sure, it just has to be massaged out of him in the right way.

Who has panned out in Oakland?

Pretty sure that place has been a coaching and organizational nightmare for about a decade now.

Anyway I like that he plays until the whistle, looks alot like Amini's tape coming out of college. If he's in good shape he'll find a place here, maybe not as a starter but as a rotational guy. With the offense we run we need as many linemen that are fleet footed as possible.

Oakland tried to slide him inside to guard. It didn't work.

Yeah this as well. Given this kids learning problems, the idea that they tried to change his position, after the level of specialty teaching required while at Maryland for him to be able to play tackle, is fuging beyond stupid.

    • The only thing I know is nfl red zone.
    • We put a ton of high draft capital into young WRs over the past few years. We drafted a WR in top 2 rounds of the draft in 4 out of the past 5 years. At some point, we need to rely on the dudes we drafted vs relying on veteran role players. That's the only way we're going to evolve as a team and take the next step to going back to winning again.  Remember when Cam lost KB and everyone thought it was the end of the universe? And 2015 happened.  Maybe losing Theilen and Coker will open some opportunities for some other guys to step up.
    • So apparently in the time between the end of the last football season, and now, a TON of streaming sites have been taken down. From what I remember most of these idiotic offiicial streaming services that offer NFL games don't ever offer ALL of the games. I remember subscribing to one service on youtube last season that cost hundreds of dollars and it would still constantly tell me games were either blacked out or unavailable, which is totally ridiculous. Is there any one service that I can watch ALL of the games on?? It gets on my everlasting nerves already that there's so many different streaming sites and they are all expensive as hell. I don't want to take out an entire additional car payment to subscribe to 4 different streaming services to watch all the games. Is there just ONE I can subscribe to? The most comprehensive thing I have access to now is Sirius XM. It's only 10 ish bucks a month and I can listen to the home or away broadcasts of any game. Only thing is I can't WATCH the games but this seriously comes in handy if I'm out doing something, driving, or can't stay still at the moment to watch the games. But usually I'm off on Sundays, so I mostly want to watch them.
