Taints v Cardinals

Mother Grabber

He has the drive and the talent to be the best cornerback since D.Sanders.

I think he's inquiring about which draft you mean by "this draft"

That being said.... There are a lot of bad corners in the league. As a corner, PP is about as good as Munnerlyn. He's got his moments, but if you're the opposing QB, you win if you throw his way.

Oh who am I kidding with my wording? Best player from the draft with PP was Cam.

there are corners who aren't nearly as talented as him but are much better cover guys. he's an electric punt returner but his production as an actual NFL cornerback leaves plenty to be desired. if "wanting it" was all you needed then captain munnerlyn would be the best corner in the league and thomas davis wouldn't have missed a start since he was drafted. having the desire to match athletic ability is big but there are a trillion other variables too.

This post tells me that I should, from now on, ignore all the content of your posts, and only stare directly at your sigs.

you should ignore him anyway because he's grits.

Wow, could it actually be grits has stooped to a new low? Patrick Peterson, Bwahaha.

We all knew the Saints** would be a threat, but they were playing the Cardinals.

i think he's also on record that dalton will be top dog in the AFC within three years.

you know jmo but if the best quarterback in an entire conference came from the '11 draft i'd have to lean toward him being the best player over a punt returner.

Let's look at the eye popping numbers for the once a generation talent, and the best player of the 2011 draft. Patrick Peterson. 59 solo tackles, 1 sack, 2 INTs, -1 receiving yards, 4 TD returns.

Mother of god...

He was robbed by the likes of Newton, and Von Miller. Oh the humanity!

    • More praise of Renfrow from Tim Weaver (formerly of USA Today's Panthers Wire, now SI.com), and also what I told some of you, my Huddle friends, from the start: keep it all in perspective, and don't conveniently---and perhaps unfairly, discount and label Renfrow as a JAG when it was a very debilitating illness affecting his play.    "It's understandable to be skeptical about Renfrow's abilities at this late point in his career. After all, he missed all of last season due to a bout of ulcerative colitis that also took a serious toll on his production in 2022 and 2023."   When Renfrow is healthy, he's an above average guy. Being 29 may hurt or help his chances depending upon perspective, but 29 for receivers generally means that there's still (sometimes plenty) gas in the tank. Renfrow also obviously has plenty of motivation and has come with his game face.   "Then agan, seeing is believing and by all accounts Renfrow has been very impressive since joining the Panthers a few months ago... Where Renfrow will fit in Carolina's new-look receiver corps remains to be seen, but at this rate it's going to be hard to exclude him from the initial 53-man roster." https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/hunter-renfrow-sick-route-panthers-training-camp Read the room, ladies and gentlemen. And don't get it twisted; Renfrow isn't the most talented receiver on the team, but we have seen his ceiling, when healthy, in a Raiders offense that wasn't necessary replete with talent. Consider what he can do, especially in the slot, in a Panthers offense primed with young talent (no pun intended). From sick to "sick routes," eh?
    • That is literally what I am talking about. Those were 53 man cuts. Not at the beginning of camp.  I would say the odds of Barno being back are extremely thin.
