Free Wifi at Stadium Looks Like a Let Down

It appears you will need to be an AT&T customer to access free WiFi at the Stadium for 2012. Kind of lame, should be free for everyone that buys a ticket to the game.

Free AT&T Wi-Fi available at BofA Stadium

Posted: Tuesday, Aug. 07, 2012

AT&T mobile-device users can now access free Wi-Fi from the seats and concession areas at Bank of America Stadium – just in time for the Democratic National Convention.

The upgrades at the 70,000-seat stadium, announced Tuesday, should boost the experience of Carolina Panthers fans using AT&T Wi-Fi-enabled cellphones and tablets, according to the telecommunications company.

Since the 460 access points are in place now, attendees of President Barack Obama’s Sept. 6 acceptance speech at the stadium will benefit, according to AT&T.

So will Panthers fans, according to Danny Morrison, president of the Carolina Panthers.

“Now they can combine the excitement of cheering on their favorite team with having real-time stats, access to popular social media and all their favorite apps right at their fingertips,” Morrison said.

Oh I agree, but quite frankly I rather know how the other games are going than watch frisbee catching dogs run around at half time.

Just look it up on your phone.....

am missing something here or are people bringing iPads and Kindles to the stadium

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
