Week 3 @ N.Y. Jets

Jets looked pretty sad last night. They will come out guns blazing against us. Rex will light a fire, hope our boys can match the intensity the Jets will have.

The Jets have scored 9 points all Preseason. And their best weapon the Touchdown Jesus read option, Cam runs better than they do.

If this game isn't a laugher by the end of the first quarter, I'll be pissed.

Interesting Preseason Facts about Jets:

They are the only team in the NFL that has not scored a touchdown this preseason.

They have only scored 9 points. Last in the League.

They are Last in the league at 4.5 points per game.

They have the worst point differential in the league at -34.

The Panthers are at -7 in point differential.

The Jets are last place in the NFL with 160.5 yards of offense per game. They are last in passing yards at 70. They are 22nd in Rusing at 90.5.

Jets have given up 12 sacks in two games.

Their third string quarterback McElroy has the highest rating on the team. He also has the longest completion of 21 yards.

By comparison we have 5 receivers with over 22 yards as their longest reception. We even have 1 run of over 31 yards.

This is a game we could literally be going for a shutout baring Clausen playing any in the 2nd half.

Would a Julio Jones-esque trade to move into the top-10 to get a top-flight pass rusher be worth it? Someone like Barkevious Mingo, Jarvis Jones, or Sam Montgomery?

Not if we had to give up what they did. To me, those kind of go-for-broke deals should be restricted to the QB position.

Atlanta got a nice player, but they are aging and needed to fill some holes on D too.

I'll be at the game (NE Endzone Corner; Sec. 106, Row 21). Pretty excited even though it's just a preseason game - it'll be my first time cheering on the Panthers in enemy territory and my first game at MetLife Stadium since I moved to NYC (more than 2 years ago now...man, time flies).

    • Wild week 0 + 1 but not as crazy as we have seen before imo Kansas St put up a fight, albeit an ugly one against Iowa State only to turn around and barely survive against North Dakota. Looks like this Florida State team might be more like the ACC winners than the 2-win squad from last season. Bama still looks competitive but FSU clearly wanted it more. Frank Reich and Mike Shula are still dumpster fire coaches, but it is fun remembering the 2015 Panthers watching Shula call plays for LaNorris. Speaking of... as much as it pains me to say it, South Carolina looks better than Clemson at the moment. South Florida's thumping of Boise State put to bed any postseason playoff drama for the Broncos.  Tarleton State over Army in 2OT!? Navy is going to smoke them this season. Looks like Wake Forest's strategy of recruiting older players with leftover COVID eligibility to play while pursuing their graduate degree has run its course after barely holding on 10-9 vs Kennesaw State. I've got a few friends from ATL that went there and they were lighting up social media. 😂 Close games for GT/Colorado, LSU/Clemson, and Texas/Ohio State. Nussmeier looked like the better prospect between him, Arch, and Cade. Drew Allar and LaNorris also looked really good. The QB class this season is going to be fun to watch. Tulane whooping up on Northwestern surprised me. Not that the latter is a powerhouse but I wouldn't have bet on that score. Going to be an interesting team to keep an eye on. I thought Kentucky would have ran the score up on Toledo, not keep it within one score.
    • The Browns are the Browns. We aren't really in a position to judge though to say the least. But trying to bash them for actually attempting to bring competition to the most consequential position on the field is certainly a take.
    • I know you can get most of the home games on radio usually. Someone here can assist you with options. Whatever you do. Do not pay much if anything to watch this product. I say the same thing for the other pro franchise in Charlotte. Until the product improves they should practically pay us just to tune in not the other way around.
