What does everyone think about the D

Kuech the Sneak

U know who shows all their cards in the preseason? John Fox. How'd that work ou for him? It's the preseason. Talk to me in two weeks.

Fox only had 2 cards.....you gotta take the field.

My only concern is that if you are going to be an aggressive blitzing D.....practicing aspects of it in the preseason isn't exactly showing your cards. Texans, Jets, Pitt, etc.....all work on getting after a QB in preseason. I don't feel we suddenly week 1 are going to throw the kitchen sink at an offense

Defense looked better.

-Capt need to be no.3 cb.

-Norman should be no.2 but is struggling.

-Hardy need to play DT. Keiser/Applewhite at the other end spot with Alexander rotating in.

-McDermott and RR needs to be more aggressive with blitzes and different kind of schemes once the Reg. season begins

What are you talking about? We did blitz on some plays. The Thomas Davis sack was a linebacker stunt blitz for example. We just didn't do it as often as we will once the season starts. And we didn't always blitz for example on third down and long as we might do in the regular season. But to say we aren't practicing aspects of it means you aren't paying attention or don't know what you are watching.

Blitzing TD on 3rd down and playing vanilla most downs.....isn't an aggressive zone blitz D. The JJ 43 is what we are rumored to be....no signs of that despite a rare blitz.

NYJ practice being an exotic blitzing team. Them just sending a blitzer and overall in the preseason being vanilla.....wouldn't be practice of their scheme.

Wade Phillips isn't masking what his D is....they practice it. That isn't showing his cards.

I doubt we see a JJ43 week 1.

defense looked fine on a very limited playbook.

I don't understand what has all your panties in a wad.

Agreed, the huddle loves to freak out over nothing. It's week 3 of preseason and you're already calling for McDermott's head? lmao

Our run defense is without a doubt the most improved, but when big Ron Edwards isn't in, you can tell the difference. My concern is the lack of a pass rush, and Captain. We got to get Captain off the field, he tackled pretty well, but that's about it. The only reason he got the INT, is because he got beat so bad he was trailing the play. I know alot of people like to attack Hardy, but he did his thing in run support.

My top 3 concerns on Defense

1. Captain

2. Pass Rush

3. Ron Edwards staying healthy
