Ditch Clausen, pick up Chris Redman

I would still rather keep Armanti and have him as the emergency QB and release Clausen's worthless butt.

Armanti is not a QB downgrade to Jimmy.....we are majorly screwed if we ever need either of them on the field.

Exactly. Pickles may be one of the worst QBs I've ever seen play in the NFL. If we get down to the third string I'd just as soon have Williams or Edwards back there running the wild cat. It's better than watching Jimmy get sacked every other play.

Do we REALLY care that much about our THIRD string QB?

No, people just have that much hate for Clausen.

That said, if we're down to our #3 QB, the season is over anyway. There are only so many T.J. Yates Magical Moments.

You also have to take into account that Armanti has been trying to be a WR for years now. He would fail at reverting back to a QB. And I'm pretty sure old Hurney wants to keep Armanti and Clausen through their contracts at least, just so his drafting doesn't look like pure fail.

    • There are no juggernauts this year. Feels like everyone in the playoffs field is gonna have a puncher's chance. All the best teams still have very obvious flaws.
    • It does vary, and depends on their health and other factors. I mean you really can’t look at the schedule in August and know what you will be facing mid season or even early Any time because stuff happens. It is any given Sunday relative to that. Early this year, KC was beatable. Will they be in December? And we don’t know if they’ll be motivated, or out of it. One team, that is likely a different team in 10 weeks. That’s an example what I mean.  Far as “decent” we know who the good teams are. We could hit a good team on a bad day, and we could have a really good one. It happens. All I’m saying. And I don’t expect it not to, for random teams. That’s about it. Predicting wins is an imperfect pastime.
    • To the folks the last couple years who were boosting up Josh Allen and shitting on Cam Newton. This one goes out to you.
