You said AE would be the starter. You said you wanted to bet. If he is the starter....wouldn't he have more return attempts this year? How is that twisting things?

Adams lost one ball....one. He also averaged 12 yards a return vs. Edwards and his 1 yard average.

I said AE averaged 1 yard per return. Not that he had 1 return. He also was the most unproductive return man in the NFL the year prior.....so that wasn't a surprise.

and Adams can field a punt. He fielded the 3rd most in the preseaon and was the best return man in the toughest conference in college football.

I said this in another thread but im going to post it here because idiots keep bringing up AE's punt returning ability as a reason to keep him:

There is absolutely no defending AE. He has no NFL skills and that's a fact. You can't talk about his PR skills because he had an historically horrible punt return average last season (5.5 yards per return!) and he may not even be the backup since Captain is much better than him (10.9 yards per return!). You can't talk about his receiving because he hasn't caught anything since drafted and everyone in front of him is much better. You can't talk about him being a backup QB because he wasn't drafted to be one and will never be one and doesn't have the skills to be one. He is just a wasted roster spot like Clausen who contributes nothing to the team.

So now he has five? 2 from Texans, 2 from Steelers, and 1 from Miami?

What qualifies as starting PR? They take the first punt? I don't like that bet as much, but I would still be willing to take it.

If the Panthers just wanted someone back there to fair catch it, they wouldn't have drafted Adams. It's completely moronic beyond belief for anyone to basically say "it doesn't matter if the PR sucks. We got Cam!". No team in the NFL thinks that way.

AE may be the primary PR until someone takes the job away from him. Personally, I was hoping for more out of Adams. Aside from the butter fingers, he is impressive.

Do you all just have selective memory? Or are muffs not counted. Even so I can recall at least 2 fumbles. One against Pitt, which we got back. One against Miami, which we lost. (The second punt return of the year, I think.) 1 muff against the Steelers, which we lost. That is 2 fumbles and 1 muff. In 4 games. For 2 turnovers. That is not how you impress your coaches. Or, keep AE off the team.

Adams has the potential to be Smitty 2.0. Unfortunately, he is off to a rocky start.

I would take Capt and his 11 yard average over AE. Munny did not put the ball on the ground. But he won't be returning punts until he is no longer a starter.

I don't want AE. But at this point in time. I don't trust Adams. You can love his explosiveness. Wish I could trust him, cuz I would love it too.

You are just making up stuff. He had one fumble...he lost it against Pitt. No other fumbles.

Tolbert had the only turnover against Miami....and it was a fumble on a reception.
