Football Gameplan's 2012 Panthers vs Bucs Video Preview

The return of Beason, and addition of Kuechly, does give you guys some good linebackers.

And, you are going to need them Sunday, to stop Martin and Blount.

Don't forget, we added that big guard from New Orleans, you remember him, don't you ?

My last memory of Blount was that first play from scrimmage fumble last season and being benched immediately after. Our defense is improved, it will be interesting to see how your run game has improved. I don't imagine us stacking the box too much.

I can't see us having to stack it at all, with Keuchly-Beason-Davis/Anderson on the field and the Edwards wall (assuming they are just mediocre).

There's really no way to justify saying their QB and LBs are equal to ours. I like Freeman more than most, but even Bucs fans would admit Cam is on another level from Freeman.

The LB corps can't even be compared. Using every standard you could possibly think of ours is better. Higher draft picks, more experience, more Pro Bowls, better stats, faster, smarter, just better overall. Their LB corps is the weakness of their defense. Ours is the strength.

Good morning Panther fans! Good luck this week!

Em

Thank you for sharing. I really like your videos and the quality and professionalism has definitely increased over time.

That said, a few thoughts:

1. If you are going to do a position by position comparison then be prepared to back it up. I know you addressed some of those topics earlier in the video, but it felt a bit rushed and opens to the door to criticism. Basically, I wouldn't use a graphic like that without be prepared to go in-depth.

2. Don't fall into national media story lines. One of the things I appreciate about your videos is that it provides a new perspective that is often more nuanced than the typical national coverage. The 2nd receiver story line has been beaten to death by the national media, but does not ring true for Panthers fans who follow the team more closely. Brandon LaFell IS the number 2 wideout. There are still some questions about what he'll do with that spot, but he's earned it.

Keep up the good work, and I look forward to seeing the more videos in the future.

Great video OP,

I apologize that most panther's fans are closed minded and think that LB's that miss entire seasons and come off major injury are somehow leaps over bounds better than players that are actually on the football field playing..

I also forgot that Cam Newton is an ELITE QB after being in the league for a grand total of one year and leading his 6-10 panthers to another top ten draft pick!.

Do you honestly think that your LB is even close to that of the Panthers? Be honest, I want to hear a non biased opinion here.

No, it is not....

The OP is trying to basically say that your LB corp is injury prone and he likes the potential of the Bucs corp......

You Panther fans are closed minded...

    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
