Kuechly Co-Stars In NFL Series: "Everything To Prove"

I have never vouched for a 1st round pick, more so than Kuechly. I knew what he was before I knew he would even be here. I am simply ecstatic that he is a Carolina Panther. Many wanted to build the trenches or draft a corner, and I heard that, and even understood it. But no player at any position could bring what this young man does to our team. It's hard to define but it shows up in his instincts, his tenacity, his personality, and his work ethic. He is truly what we are looking for and is a player to build around. Luke Kuechly is our defensive Cam Newton. He has IT.

Who are you again, and how much are your vouchers really worth? Mel Kiper Jr... Is that you? I still have a bone to pick with you about Jimmy "Pickles" Clausen.

Mel Kiper was right the whole time. You take Jimmy clausen so your team blows and you get the number 1 pick the NEXT year and take a real quarterback.

    • This guy pre-draft was saying he could take or leave football, and he seems to have been playing with that mentality ever since lol.
    • Agreed, another safety would be nice. Bud Clark, TCU, is one I would like to see us take a flyer on later in the draft, if he stays healthy and we don't take someone earlier. I just really hope we draft a solid C this year. Tired of seeing us cycle through average to below average players in that area.
    • Bryce doesn't like throwing into the middle of the field unless the play broke down or it's set up to give him a passing lane.  So because of this issue, most of the passing offense has to be outside the numbers towards the boundary. So you see him throw a lot of dump offs, swing routes, short side out routes, comebacks or deep balls outside the numbers using the boundary as protection of an interception.    Pretty easy for a NFL defense to see this and scheme against it.  All you have to do is run a shell cover 2 deep dime, LB plays a hook underneath, take the flat away with a blitz/flat zone option for the two inside DB's, outside two DB's play hook zone underneath and carry anything deep.    Pretty much what NO ran to take away Rico while also limiting What Bryce can do as well.
