Moving on...the Saints***

CRA

I think the Saints* are going to win this game pretty easily, but that's based on the Saints* being reasonably full strength. If they're hurt more by the lack of Sean Payton and the outside distractions than I assume, they could be in for a rough year. I do expect the loss of their coach to hurt them to a degree, but I don't see them starting 0-2.

Likewise, I don't expect the Panthers to play as badly as they did this past weekend, so I'm just going with the better team and the Saints* are still one of the better NFC teams.

I like our chances. After watching the Redskins beat the Saints*. I believe there are key things we should focus on:

-We need to have long consistent drives. The Redskins did a great job of keeping Drew Brees off the field in the 1st half. I would like to see us establish the run early and not totally abandon it. I wouldn't find seeing some screens. Redskins did a good job of protecting the ball and moving the chains. Why not try it.

-Defense wise. We need to bring it. I would be totally stoked if our Dline could generate pressure by themselves. If we call blitz, let us make sure we get to Brees quick because if we don't, well we all know lol. I say we continue with the way our Defense is. Norman did an ok job. What I liked is, I didn't really see any big plays being given up on his side. We have to find a way of taking Graham out of the game. Right now, I can't of a way we can lol. He is That good. Maybe, more like contain is a little more reasonable. The safety play has to be better this week. Enough said. No need to point the blame.

I'm excited about this game and really think that we will beat them. I am not comfortable in a shoot out, but if we can beat them that way, go for it. Go Panthers!

kuechly against jimmy graham. i feel about that.

i like our D against their O right now. i feel good about the strides the defense made and i like that they don't have payton there. i expect the Saints** to come out hard in the beginning but then back off the rest of the game like they did this past week. Saints* just don't have the presence to keep things tight that payton has.

our offense should get back on track this week and i REALLY like our offense against that Saints** D.

This... I love Chud's aggression. It's truly a breath of fresh air in contrast to many years of Fox-ball. However, why must he constantly get in a shoot out with every opponent? How about an offensive game plan that exposes the opposing defense's weaknesses and works in unison with our defense. The oline needs to get into a groove with some smash mouth run calls and a few RB (WR) screens. The recipe for beating the Saints* is available for Chud in last week's game against RGIII.

On point of interest. Chud got carried away IMO to start 2011 and it took him a few games to settle in. he is off to the same start this year.

RGIII had success against the Saints**** running the read option....but one point of emphasis I think can be taken from it.

In the win against NO, only 7% of his pass attempts were over 20 yards downfield.

Newton week 1 was at 24%, which was greater than any team in the NFL last season.

Trying to set up these homerun plays, plays against the OL. We ran too many 3 WR sets and Olsen is of little value if asked to stay in to block. A perfect example was in the 2nd half when he tried to aid Bell and the defender just split them with ease. Play would have stood out more if the G wasn't simultaneously beaten. Those 3 WR sets turn into for WR sets bc Olsen is basically a pure WR who plays TE.

If we come out and try to be the old school Raiders with WRs running deep routes and asking a run blocking O to pass block all day....that is an unneeded gamble.

We need Stewart, we need to bring back the 2 TE sets adding a TE that can actually aid in pass and run blocking. IMO.

And most importantly, if Williams is the only half of Doube Trouble active....the Newton college offense needs to be tabled until Stewart returns.

I don't consider week 2 games a must win.....but Carolina is closer to having one than any team in the NFL this week.

This is a perfect breakdown of what happened to us and what needs to be adjusted. I couldn't agree more. This may be the most perfect post in reaction to week 1

Adjust and keep the defense going. And we will be ok this season

Vikings and Redskins O-lines allowed just 2 total pressures each in Wk 1. Steelers OL allowed 22 to lead NFL.

Pretty impressive stat but the Saints* dont have much of a pass rush. I think Carolina can control the line and

give Cam the time he needs. Panthers need to run, alot. Also get their playmakers the ball in space. Saints* are

shitty tacklers so screens and quick hitters could lead to long gainers. Yo Cam, not every pass needs to be down

field buddy.

Gamble on Colston, blanket Graham with a linebacker/safety and force Brees to beat you with Moore

and whoever is Henderson's backup. IDK if Henderson will be healthy this week. I haven't heard anything.

pretty much this.

that LB on graham needs to be kuechly. even as a rookie i like his odds against him.

graham might have a kind of big play or two, but it won't be as bad as before.

If Graham tries to dunk on our goalpost, i hope TD goes up for the take-out rejection. Not in our house bitch.

That would be fugging classic. I'm so sick of that taunt.

In a rival game like this, in our house, someone should step up and pack that ugly fugger. Just like when Harper claimed that Smith was "taunting" so he shoved him.

Yeah i was thinking Kuechly the whole time. he's like 6-2. Washington used 5-10 London Fletcher who had good coverage but Graham got above him. Also i would tell Luke to get Physical from the get go and see how the refs call it. Never know, new refs could let him mug.
