Can we stop with the charade that is Pilares as our kick returner. In the 4th when we were desperate and hoping for a home run, we finally let Adams return a kickoff. Do we not want big plays in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd quarters as well? This is yet another example of poor special teams coaching. In my opinion this is similar to playing Legadoodoo over Lafell last year. What's the point? Let our young talented guys play!

Legatron wasn't starting because of his talents as a wide out... he was starting because he was the only guy that's been fully acclimated in that offense for a while. he was often interpreting the calls for our WRs and TEs.

I'm a bit concerned about Adams protecting the ball. A lost fumble deep in your own territory is obviously a huge, huge risk that can and will change a game. On the other hand, so will a 100 yard kick/punt return. With the right coaching and mentoring, Adams definitely looks like he has the potential to be more than explosive. I get the same kick out of watching him that I do watching Cam or Luke. My eyes may stray during other parts of the game (see avatar), but when Adams looks like he will get the ball, everything else stops and I really focus on him. He makes the game a ton of fun to watch. RR thinks so too. Remember that recent quote about holding on to your britches, no telling what will happen, and being able to live with that.

The kick return era is dead. Our team putting any emphasis and effort on that facet of the game would be a waste of time and would only show how oblivious this team really is. I say, who the hell cares who's kneeling down on kickoffs? Implement these two into our offense and see who's actually worth holding onto.

No argument there. If Pilares' only value to this team is his "ability" to return kicks, then he needs to be shown the door. I never did like having kick-return "specialists" on the roster. Now with the new rules, I think they're worthless. Throw him into the offense and see what he can/can't do. If it works out, then great. If it doesn't, we didn't need him anyways. Otherwise, he's just going to keep wasting space.
