a real stat that i find troublesome, we are 6-0 when Cam doesn't turn the ball over and 0-11 when he does.

This is a lot like that old stat people used to quote where we had some ridiculously high win percentage when Deshaun Foster had x number of carries (I forget the exact number). He carried more when we were up - thus we won more when he had a lot of carries.

Turnovers lose games under the best of circumstances and our Defense since Cam has been here has been so shitty that a turnover basically meant points for the other team. To me this just highlights the fact that our D was shitty last year...which we kinda already knew.

Pretty much, but what is bothersome to me is that even one measly turnover, we can't recover. I don't necessarily pin that on the defense. Basically that stat says, Cam has to play a perfect game for us to win.

I guess - but being able to absorb a turnover with how prolific our offense was last year is kinda on them. We were putting up points (most of the time) so its not like we weren't able to score. Specifically with our team last year we needed the D to be able to once or twice help recover from a rookie mistake instead of responding with "well Offense we need to do score EVEN MORE now" after every INT.

You could even make the case that the stop didn't need to be after the INT ... we just needed a few more stops in general to let our Offense, which was scoring, open up a cushion. With even a middle of the road defense that stat looks much different.

I think that speaks more to what a one man show we hae become....Cam doesn't get much help.

Brees won 7 games last year he turned it over.

What we need is a D that turns the ball over more than anything I think

I don't blame opposing fans for getting our stats wrong. We have forum staff who get basic info about our own players incorrect.

Well it wasn't like they said DeAngelo averages 4.9 a carry in his career....they weren't just a little off. It made zero sense....and they are all giddy.

I actually am a pretty positive fan....I just tend to talk about the 3-4 questionable things often here. Don't feel the need to discuss all the good. Good is good. I just want us to get better.

I actually think we should win this game more so than the one last week.
