Were the Saints* kicking Cam when he was down without a helmet on?

I'm sorry if this is already been asked....I did not see a thread about it on the front page

I just caught a glimpse of it and I swear it looked like he was being deliberately kicked.

Was I seeing things, and maybe it was just accidental contact as the players were getting up or was he really being kicked?

Definitely looked like it. Newton came up from it still fighting and jawing.

Reminded me of that moment a few years back when Jake took a nasty cheap shot from one of the Bears, then got up beating his chest and shouting some stuff that wouldn't pass the filters if I posted it here.

Definitely saw some stomping attempts. Not as obvious as Haynesworth's stomp but they were definitely nonchalantly trying to stomp/kick Newton's head.

It's crazy that they got busted for being a dirty fugging team, and in week 2 they're already pulling this poo.

How is that stupid QB kneel play in the NY/TB game getting more publicity than the Bounty Saints* stepping on Cameron's pretty face?

Well if you see the play over they rip his helmet off when the momentum stops.

Cam is on the ground an "inadvertant walk-on*" Cams Hands and kicks to the face happened he had blood on the back of his pants where his finger which had a bandage on it already. it was intentional like any pile on if you played football. But it was more like the 4 horesman stomping NWA style..

I couldnt believe it Was not spoke of by the awfulness of Ron Pitts...

    • I know it a real homer take but Im not sure Id slam dunk take that list over Smitty.  Smith just played a different way, he had an ability to just take over a game as a matter of will.  The catch against the giants where he caught it and took a helmet that broke his arm mid air, the games against DeAngelo Hall, 05 Bears playoffs, Ice Up Son, the revenge game against us. Those other WRs may have better stat books but love him or hate him, good guy or bad, Smith just played a different game and when he did look out.
    • Absolutely would have to be anther young scorer with either ELC time or a long term contract...    Could see maybe Kyrou or Robertson.... But I really just dont see him being traded you dont trade your leading post season scorer on a long term deal when he isn't even in his prime yet..   not to mention unless you get more than one of those guys at best it would be lateral with unknown team chemistry.
    • was driving down a two lane rural highway this morning as was reminded of this thread.   Minding my own going 60 in the 55. This massive Chevy rolls up behind me so close all I see is grill. Along comes a passing zone and M firm in the right lane.  Does doofus drop over and pass me? Nope he backs off to a solid 2 second separation.   500 feet after the passing zone you can imagine where he was. Back up my ass.
