Injury report

Kuech the Sneak

  • As of Saturday morning Stewart was a no go, but that obviously changed by Sunday. He can play through some pain. I think this is an injury that isn't going to heal unless he sits for at least one game and maybe more. How much it limits his effectiveness, I don't know, but it's got to have some effect, probably increasing as the season wears on. Tape and painkillers can do only so much.

AST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- WR Hakeem Nicks (foot) and RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) did not participate during the early portion of practice on Tuesday.

T David Diehl (knee) and WR Domenik Hixon (concussion) also sat out the portion open to the media.

Cornerbacks Prince Amukamara (ankle) and Michael Coe (hamstring) worked in early practice drills. DE Adewale Ojomo (hamstring) and LB Keith Rivers (hamstring) also worked in positional drills.

Diehl suffered an MCL injury in Sunday's win over Tampa Bay. The extent of the injury is unknown at this point.

Bradshaw underwent X-rays on his neck after exiting in the second quarter against the Bucs. His status for Thursday's road game against the Carolina Panthers is up in the air.

Hixon also left Sunday's game in the first quarter with a concussion. It would be very unlikely for a concussed player to be cleared for contact in four days under the new NFL protocols, which require approval both from the team doctor and an independent physician.

Nicks was likely resting his surgically-repaired right foot on Tuesday. He said after a breakout performance Sunday (10 catches, 199 yards) that he'd be fine.

The team is hopeful that Amukamara, out since Aug. 24 with a high ankle sprain, can take the field Thursday. We will have more injury information after speaking with coach Tom Coughlin this afternoon.

    • Don't have to be miss cleo. His weakness are length, athleticism, creating his own shot, defense, finishing at the rim,  Strengths - shooting and IQ.   Likely won't work as non athletic shooters don't typically work.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
