Aw, fudge. I was just starting to enjoy these replacement refs. No ticky tacky calls or calling holding every play. Some BS PI calls and blown calls deciding games, but for the most part they have been letting the players play the game.

I have a feeling the real refs are going to overcompensate by calling everything.

Still a victory for labor, which is always a happy occasion.

I'm curious what happened with the "refs currently have no accountability during the season because their job is at least secure until the end of the season" point. Hopefully the league won that one, and can review ref performance throughout the season and take action as necessary. I know the refs got a pay bump, they met at middle ground on the pension, and the league won for all intents and purposes on the "backup squad of officials" point. Those 4 issues are the main ones I've heard of.
