I am sick of the talk about Cams' superman pose last week. But..

I think it was the game against the Packers last season when the Panthers fell out of reach when they showed a sad Cam looking at the scoreboard. The announcers commented about how he just wanted to win so bad. Then Cam scored another TD and tossed the ball to the Ref and trotted off the field. Again the announcers praised how he handled it. Same situation against the Giants and he did his Superman pose. Thats what I am concerned about! I think his "Brand" may hurt this team in the long run! As a rookie he knew better, but as a sponsored Vet I think he is trying to hard!

Did you really need to respond to a thread you didn't want to talk about ?

Didn't think so...

I sure did, my posts are unique. Maybe I shall go make a post about how Smith is a A hole and he needs to go to Cam's house and make him a summer salad with blue cheese dressing, then I will go make a bologna sandwich with plenty of mustard and a side consisting of pita chips and hummas (I like the no bean kind.).

Our biggest problem is that when something goes wrong we lose our edge...tuck our tails and run if you will. If we are down we need Cam doing these kind of things...Smitty doing these kinds of things. One huge problem with our D is how reserve they are, really hoping that Josh Norman can bring some kind of edge to that unit.

Irrelevant now. It's over and done with. We can speculate about anything. I don't give a fug if Cam scores and has a 10 minute tea party, as long as he's being productive. Same goes for any other player. Do what you want, when you want, just make sure you're contributing to the scoreboard in a positive manner. Cam scored. Let him celebrate without dissecting it like you're Dr. House (psst...you're not).

The two situations aren't remotely comparable. Against NYG, we were only down by 2 scores after we scored a touchdown (granted our defense making a stop was extremely unlikely). Against GB, the game was flat out over. Hardly any time left.

As the other poster said, it was a 2 score game in the 3rd....and that was our first sign of life. Those type TDs are celebrated across the league often.

Sports entertainment has to entertain.....nothing more. The the fact we had a chance to make it a game then and get our homefield involved are completely overlooked....also that cocky SOB continued to seek out kids to involve after the TD.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
    • They also came out for the encore and the singers were dressed in canes jerseys. Pretty fuging cool.
