Last Week regarding Cam Newton:

“Who wants to support something that puts on a performance of embarrassment? If I was a fan of the Carolina Panthers, I would be holding my head down in shame of the product that was out there today.”

– Cam Newton, after his Panthers lost to the Giants 36-7 Thursday night.

Get a hold of yourself, fella. A bomb didn’t fall on Charlotte.

This week regarding Ryan Tannehill

Offensive Players of the Week

Ryan Tannehill, QB, Miami. After the crushing 24-21 overtime loss to the Cards, Tannehill was obsessing about his overtime interception that led to the winning points for Arizona. Good for him. He should be miffed.

No, no. No double standard here.

I noticed that. I had a what the fug moment myself.

Tannehill is still an underdog. People want to see him succeed so the spin is positive.

Cam came out blasting last year and is no longer an underdog. People expect him to succeed and will be cheering if he doesn't. The spin for him is negative.

fug you world.

It seems like everybody has an issue with Cam. Its like its some sort of collusion to make this kid look bad for doing things all young guys do. He sulks he is a bad leader. He celebrates he is a bad leader. I think its funny that all the ex NFLers on NFL Network are like Cam's still dancing and he should be who he is. The guy hates losing. His parents were qouted as saying he hated it his whole life. I have seen what they do to guys when the media has it out for them. I just don't see what Cam has done to deserve it.

I hate to be the one to ask, but could it be racial?

LOL.

King is the one who wrote that entertainer and icon BS.

Cam then snubbed him at TC and now he is butt hurt.

King using Torrey Smiths tragedy last week to get an extra shot in on Cam was extremely unprofessional. That was something I'd expect to read on a message board not from the nfl writer of the year.

    • In all honesty, no one knows if Dan really pushed for Bryce to be drafted. It's not fair to Dan to say that just because he was a part of the Fitterer regime then he was in full support of drafting Bryce. If the HC, Reich at the time really wanted Stroud but got bullied into drafting Bryce then Dan had even less say so in the matter. Dan was also saddled with giving Bryce an opportunity to compete in years 2/3 because of the cost to trade up and get him by ownership.  Outside of managing the QB position, Dan has made good moves and built a decent roster. Solidified the O-line and D-line, drafted contributors, and made good trades (Mike Jackson), and free agent signings (Dowdle). I do believe that this offseason will be really important for Dan and we'll see whose side he is clearly on. Bryce has had plenty of time and opportunity to prove himself and he has failed, if Dan is a Bryce homer he'll give him another year and pick up the 5th year option. If Dan isn't a Bryce homer, he'll move on from Bryce. Either way, we'll find out this offseason.
    • You also have to extend him and probably deal/cut Bryce
    • Jones would be what he is if he was on this team, a fairly middle of the road game manager. Still and upgrade but probably not worth the price the 49ers may want for him. If it's not something stupid in terms of ask and he doesn't want something even more stupid in terms of longish term contract, I am okay with a middling game manager until we can do better through the draft. The one thing that wouldn't be terrible is some stability at QB. That has almost never happened under Tepper.
