Big Beas

It's obvious to anyone with a clue that his recent drop in play is 100% physical.

He is where he needs to be to make the plays but is still recovering and playing hurt.

Until he is back to playing shape he needs to wrap up. He can't rely in big hits as he just can't physically lay the hit like he used to.

I'm not giving up on him like many of you have. The only way he gets it fixed is on gamedays. Some players are not worth the risk, but Beas ain't one of them.

Your premise does not support your conclusion. If his recent drop in play is 100% physical and he is playing hurt, playing him on gamedays is not the only way he gets fixed... getting healthy is the only way he gets fixed. And I have never heard a doctor prescribe "start at linebacker in the NFL" in the name of health.

Do you mean you think he is physically healthy, just out of shape?

I dont think he can physiccally wrap up. He isnt relying on big hits. He is trying to tackle with one arm because his shoulder is clearly fuged. I love the guy too and by no means am i giving up on him, but right now he is hurting the team. He needs to sit down until hes healthy. Get well Beast!

Well they pulled him to start the second half and Jason Phillips got sucked in on a screen and Michael Turner scored the touchdown. So they sent Beas back out there hurt.

So then why the hell can't we see a LB lineup of TD, Keek, Anderson?

Don't put Phillips out there unless someone is horribly gassed.

Because they want to keep the rookie outside unless they think it's going to be a permanent change. I agree with the move at this point. I'm as big a Beason homer as there is, but it may be time to think about moving him outside and rotating with TD.

I just want the man healthy. We're not blowing the world away so if he needs to take a month off to heal then lets do it. I'm also high on Phillips, but he hasn't really played in a month, there's going to be a lull before he's up to speed.

    • We’re in a pickle. My best hope is we protect him and can run the ball vs most Ds and the WRs are healthy so he has every chance to not look like what he looked like in too many games last year.
    • I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.
    • Easy to understand Pickett, if this is anywhere close to on point. Canales wants to get as close to Bryce as he can- get the pace and timing in the throws as close a he can to Bryce. So the other players don’t have to adjust so much, to a new guy.       If Cam was the 1, he would look for a rocket arm.  But Bryce is the 1. Look for limited in the same way.  Low velocity, plenty of air under it, feels just like home when Picket comes in. And you have the guys on the second team not having such a radical adjustment (if they have to play) like with Dalton to Bryce.    Enter Grier. I guess we will collect those types.
