So shockey or Tolbert?

So being that we basically replaced shockey with Tolbert and from what we've seen out of Tolbert who would you rather have. I've been disappointed in Tolbert so I'd take shockey easily.

The majority of the board wanted Shockey back, including myself. We had enough cap room to pay him more than the previous year so it was not a matter of either or.

I mentioned a guy like Shianco a while back, who has a similar skillset to Shockey. The majority on here were all about Barnidge who still hasn't shown up. Last excuse was on Fox, not sure what it would be now. It's safe to say a solid contribution from the #2 TE position is considerably lacking.

Man you guys criticize the read option. But I get fooled on that every other damn time.

Bah our guy got tackled...but the crowd is cheering...OK where the hell is the ball?

Too bad I don't play OLB in the NFL

It can be effective with Cam running it but not EVERY DAMN RUN... NFL defenses are fast and they figure poo out quick. Use it more sparingly and for gods sake use JStew, he is an absolute beast. I know he's been dinged but he can break out if we don't give up on the run. Once JStew starts banging inside, it'll open the outside for DWill and Cam.

    • It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
    • Dude he didnt play in pre season.....  he didnt practice at all with the team until the end of October.    I do agree though.
    • Bryce had a hand in the Miami win but not nearly as large of one as Rico and he also had the extra burden of being a big reason we were in the hole in the first place. If we get a winning season he is definitely back for next year though.
