hmmm...

mike zimmer - bengals DC

dirk koetter - falcons OC

tom clements - packers OC

dave toub - bears ST coordinator, interviewed with miami last year

perry fewell - giants DC, interviewed with us before

bad ideas:

andy reid

norv turner (and likely any other HCs that get fired)

todd haley

jack del rio

gus bradley (have read numerous seahawk fans say he isnt HC material)

wade phillips

rob ryan

ray horton

vic fangio

aaron kromer

all of these guys have proven they can't get it done or will want to run the 3-4

not realistic:

bill cowher

no matter who we get we can't get a coach that is actually going to coach because Richardson doesn't allow it. Just look, last year Rivera used to go up to guys and get in their face when they screwed up, now he is basically a numb statue on the sideline. Richardson doesnt want a guy that is going to do coaching on the sidelines because he thinks it makes him look bad. I just wish he'd fire Hurney.

Perry Fewell is also a definite consideration. Being from Gastonia, knowing the defensive line like the back of his hand, and interviewing here before, there definitely is some consideration there. I worry, though, that Fewell can't find DB talent. I don't know if that's on him, the scouting department, etc, but it seems every year the same problem with the Giants is that they have a injured/not-very-good backfield.

I like Andy Reid, but honestly, I think that he's getting ready to take a seat from the NFL. With the troubles he's faced with his sons, and the toll that the NFL life has taken on him, I think he's getting ready to go the way of Tony Dungy and enjoy the rest of his life with his family.

I think Bill Cowher has been out of the NFL too long to have a grasp on it, same goes for Gruden. The NFL has changed is such a drastic way in the past two seasons, it's almost hard to believe.

Not sure I agree that Ray Horton is a bad idea.

And who in the world suggested Aaron Kromer?

    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
    • I'd think we could get one of those from Dallas for... whatever.
