Cam Newton needs real competition.

Cam and only him put himself in position through his comments and that god awful jacket. He's not a leader.

So now, you've got a problem with his sweater?

By the way, I'll bet you didn't see the thread about the QB's with the best PA completion % so far in 2012. Here's a hint, one of them is the guy that some claim can't run a pro offense.

That's actually his problem. He doesn't check down. As a result he throws a lot of picks. Im pretty sure if you compiled the stat of qb with the most fumbles he be on top of that list as well. Also I wonder what his 3rd down completion percentage. Cherry picking a useless stat does nothing Marguide. I actually thought you were smarter then that.

Cam throws a lot of picks? Compared to who?

And his completion percentage would be a lot higher if Murphy and Smith would catch his 3rd down balls.

Do you even watch the panthers?

Every game. His 3rd down completion percentage would be higher if he would check the ball down instead of throwing the ball into coverage....or eating a sack...or fumbling. I bet his 4th down fumbling percentage is higher then his 3rd down completion percentage.

There's no hope for you. The point is, if he is a good play action passer, then the myth that he can't run a pro style offense is obvious bunk. Get it?

He's the best player on the worst team in the league....congrats to him. How many game winning drives does he have? How many turnovers in the fourth qtr? Let's not bring in any competition for our vaunted 1-5 QB that has an attitude problem.

Gonna go ahead and say that the Browns are far worse off than Carolina....

It is one thing to be frustrated with Cam's play so far this year. It is yet another to actually want to waste valuable resources on "Competition".

This team needs upgrades at multiple positions. Wasting resources needed to fill these holes on competition for a second year talent is just silly.

Think before you post. That way your arguement may not seem so lame.

Everyone wants to blame the media for an egotistical bias and that's simply not the case. Cam and only him put himself in position through his comments and that god awful jacket. He's not a leader. A leader doesn't sulk on the sidelines and put a towel over his head. The leader doesn't say to bring in a suggestion box.

We can all agree that Cam is more an athlete then Jake Delhomme ever was. But Delhomme was more a leader then Cam will ever be. Less then two years into his starting tenure this team is divided like it's never been. The QB IS the leader of the team and right now this team is reflecting his attitude.

Your post says way more about you than it does Cam.

And along with the other SHALLOW problems you have with Cam, you also dislike his jacket. Got it.

WTF??? he has the towel on his head and sits on the sidelines win or lose? get off the media nuts bro. How do you know what kind of leader he is? only the players and coaches know. Cam doesnt call the plays and I think it took a LEADER to tell the media that he isnt buying into the play calling of 10 runs a game. eat a fat greasy D!!!!!!!!!!

The jacket line was a joke bro. My problems with him pertain to what's on the field. It's annoying though to see how he hands his problems that were on the field off the field.

    • PFF feeds the beast.  So it’s largely popular for that IMO and is embraced by the NFL machine because it helps feed the beast.  Thats why you see the cute stats pop on the Monday Night football screen lol.  Hot takes? Fantasy football? Yeah, it’s good for the NFL machine for lots of reason.  I do think the league embraces them.  Not because they are actually good at doing what they claim. actual analytics folks are critical of PFF.  Because it’s not analytics.  It’s subjective goobly goo ratings by dudes that aren’t really qualified nor even have the info to do real grading.  you got legit NFL players who say they have literally put PFF grades by the coaches grades and they are worlds apart.  Players have laughed at them pretending they can grade certain plays without the underlining info.  NFL coaches have called out there bologna at pressers.   could it be a quick tool to find out some info that has nothing to with their subjective grades? Sure.  There is a lot of data on 32 teams for cheap. But I do not buy the narrative 32 NFL teams think their grades are worth a poo or remotely accurate or meaningful.
    • Bills D looks like ass
    • I think that win vs Dallas gave them a big boost of confidence.  Thats a team that blew us out the past 2 seasons. Even when Bryce was playing okay late last season they still beat us pretty bad.  Lets see if we slaughter the Jets or go back to playing sloppy uninspired football and go from there.
